The Earth has been our home for thousands of years, and we wouldn’t be alive today if our ancestors weren’t deeply connected and acutely aware of the natural world that surrounds us.
Our distancing relationship with the natural world is matched with the decreasing health of our species and the planet. I believe the most important thing we can do to heal ourselves and the planet is to learn how to listen again and reestablish our relationship to the natural world.
The Human Soul and our place of belonging in the world is hidden in our time in nature. Time in nature is not to run away from society, but to come back to it better and more ready to serve.
Who is this retreat for?
Anyone who feels the pull to commune with the natural world is welcome. Whether you’re buying camping gear for the first time or your gear is worn and well used, we welcome any outdoor skill level to this trip.
This trip is for those who want deeper connection: to themselves, the natural world, and others.
Who is this retreat NOT for?
If you are looking for a retreat to escape your problems, this is not for you. We invite the courageous inquiry of self so you can go back into life with more purpose and clarity.
If you are looking for treatment or therapeutic intervention for any DSM-5 diagnosis, including substance abuse disorder, this is not for you. There are plenty of options with licensed therapists to support you, but this is not one.
The Sacred Boulder Mountain, Utah
We will be driving deep into the South side of Boulder Mountain in Utah, between the towns of Boulder and Escalante. Situated geographically near the San Rafael Swell, the Henry Mountains, Bryce Canyon National Park, and plenty more, this oasis, tucked away where few people go, has no crowds, no traffic, and no noise that most Utah destinations have.
“David is connected. He is a kind, experienced, and extraordinary guide. I highly recommend David to any potential local, national or international clients looking to experience the North American wilderness in a profound way.“
“Working with David in Utah helped save my life.”
“David skillfully leads others to deep places of introspection. His effectiveness is based on a humble sense of his own gifts and an awareness of the healing power of nature and relationships.“
